Class work 12/7/15

This week in class I specialized on working on the 200 dollar project. My group split into two focus groups one for the storefront project and one for the 200 dollar project. Amelia and I worked on the 200 dollar project. Originally we had kind of unique idea of flipping dolls we both own that are worth a lot of money now on ebay. However, after considering that neither of us really have an experience or expertise with ebay we switched ideas. We then looked into creating BHS 2015 holiday ornaments. We thought through how we would sell them, the demographic we would sell to, and the price they would be sold at. After seeing that this would have a high price, narrow demographic, and difficult ways to sell we went back to the drawing board for more ideas. We started talking to the rest of our group Jack and Dan and came up with the idea of making BHS athletic basketball crew socks. With this idea we headed to the internet in search of a website that we could create these socks on. We did this with a couple thoughts in mind: the price, the design, and the ease in ordering them. We stumbled upon many websites many that did not have the right design options for our product we even looked into airo sports the sports good shop around the corner from the highschool. Finally, we decided that making custom elite socks (a brand of sock) would be best. Going forward we now look to order the socks and sell them as soon as they arrive. We already know that the lacrosse and basketball teams would both like to buy our products which is more than enough customers for the order size we would have so we are not concerned about selling the socks.

  1. I suspect that there might be a larger market for this than you're anticipating. Starting with basketball and lacrosse is great; but I'll bet you can work with Kyle Williams and really expand sales of this. Have you spoken with Ben about working through Super Fans? Get these socks ordered as soon as you can so that you can start drumming up business!
